So I took out a new contract on Thursday. My sim was eventually connected yesterday. Telkom offers 5gb free data on the package I choose subject to being in a telkom coverage. I confirmed my street address and I am within the telkom towers to make use of the free data. so since my card has been activated g only used 7mb of the free data and the rest from my all network that being about 100mb. I called several times to the call centre and got 3 different explanations. my understanding is that if you in the coverage area you will use the telkom data but this is not the case.cell c is offering 1gb data all network wit their contracts. If I am not going to receive the free data within the specified area then I am gonna cancel my contract. They is misleading the consumer and one could easily go over the 150mb free data. Telkom en not have proper signals and almost 90% of the time it is using mtn network. I would appreciate a prompt response or I am cancelling this contract.
