On Monday, 02 Sept 2013, I contacted Neotel to confirm their network coverage in my area. As per the sales consultant, Rebotile Mokgadi, it was verified that I enjoyed excellent coverage and all Neotel offers were eligible in my area.
Delighted after establishing this, I proceeded to do an outright purchase of Neotel's EC315 WiFi Modem and confirmed the pricing of the data packages - another reason for moving from MTN to Neotel as Neotel's pricing is much better - albeit at lower speeds.
On Wednesday, 04 Sept 2013, I received my modem via Skynet Courier and proceeded to purchase a 7gb data bundle and started the setup process at around 6:30pm the very same evening. Upon successful setup, I realized the "3G" coverage is not up to standard - 2 to 3 bars at most with no consistency whatsoever.
Utterly disappointed with the Coverage, I contacted the Technical Support Line and spoke to a consultant, Sweetness - Call Ref # FCR211429245, who again confirmed I have the best coverage possible on the Neotel network. She also told me I need to purchase an antenna from Poynting Direct should I wish to "boost" the signal. How can you expect me to fork out for your mistakes Neotel???
