Unable to sort out emails

I recently swapped my sim card from a Blackberry 9000 to a Blackberry 9780 and tried setting up my work email on the 9780. However when I went into the setup menu for emails and clicked on the email button nothing happened. I then called MTN for assistance, where it was confirmed that my BIS service was active and told to do various other routines which all proved futile. I was eventually told that my 32k sim card is not compatible with the 9780 phone and told to perform a sim swap for a 64k sim card which I have done. This however has still not helped resolve the problem and i still unable to setup any emails on the 9780. I called the call centre (1555) once again and taken through various routines but still unable to setup emails on my phone. MTN have no idea how to resolve this issue and I keep going in circles in trying to sort this out.
