I had applied for a Wimax internet account with neotel in October 2012. I went to their office at Cedar Square and I was told I'll get a phone call from their credit department to see if I qualify. I was called and then told I was to pay R800 for the line. I went back to their store at Cedar Square and made the payment. I was told that the connection department was going to call me. I waited 2 weeks and had to call their call center. I was then informed that I wasn't supposed to have paid the R800 at all and that the confirmation for the connection of my wimax hadn't gone through. I was able to have that sorted out.
Unfortunately I was going out of the country for a long time and I asked my husband to please follow up with the connection. The technicians came and it was discovered that we aren't under wimax coverage and so we can't receive the service. I then put through an application for a refund when I came back from my travels in May. I was told that my money would be refunded in 21 working days. We are now in August and I haven't gotten my money! Neotel is very money-oriented, not customer-oriented. Why would they want to cheat a customer? I want my money back!
