Pathetic accounting practice

I cancelled my Telkom line over a year ago. I had to hound them for a final account which I eventually received.
The bill was about R 450.00. I queried a deposit of R500 and asked for a copy of the original contract. I had taken over the line from the original contract owner. I never received another account or any correspondence from Telkom. Nothing. Now over a year later my Husband is getting threatening SMS"S although the account is in my name, he has nothing to do with it. Then I get a letter from a debt collector for payment.
This is a very under-handed way of doing business for such a big company like Telkom. To just hand the account over for collection without first trying to sort out my query is so un-professional.
I find your bully tactics disgusting and have handed the matter to my lawyer.
This is not about the money, but the principal.
