My Mom had given my email address to Telkom when she opened her home account. In October last year she sold up and left the county, notified/cancelled Telkom she was leaving...
Telkom in turn have billed her two additional months R716.85 before they eventually cut the line and have now handed this over to Nudebt. I have told Nudebt on numerous occasions the same story and yet they are adamant about pursuing this matter and will be in the process of issuing summons against a 75 year old woman who no longer lives here. Not only is this a waste of my time, but there's. It has to be costing more then the R716.00 in admin work alone. I am also not sure where they think they are going to deliver the summons too...
Have you ever tried to cancel a Telkom line, they are very good at opening them, a to close and you will NEVER get your money back- NOT EVER!
I do think Nudebt needs to investigate their debtors book a little more closely before trying the heavy handed stuff and actually listen to those who are polite enough to tell you the real story.
so, No, I wont find you a copy of the letter she sent, and NO, she won't be paying you or Telkom!
