No customer service

I have currently been using my new contract for a month and no longer have the service of using it as it was disconnected last week Wednesday after calling the 081 number they said it will be connected by end of day this didn't happen. I then called the following day and the said the contract was cancelled yet I have close to R6000 credit to my favor on a unlimited account. I was told this will be escalated and will be resolved in 72 hours six (6) days later and its still not connected, I have sent several emails and have had no feed back, I eventually went into Greenstone Mall where I originally got my number from and now Prince the store manager has had no joy from Telkom offices as even he cant get hold of the relevant offices or even a reply to his mail in the last two days.
It has cost me close to R800 already in MTN fees while I wait for 8ta to resolve this matter, this attitude that we must accept it and continually be treated bad, I don't care attitude needs to stop. What ever happened to customer service. All I want is phone that works and a credit for the calls made from another service provider. as a week has almost gone past my last reference number is 65708701143
