I took up a 24 month contract with cell c last November. (2012) I have now had the phone contract for 10 months, and I have been struggling with getting phone reception almost everywhere! I have no signal at work ever! maybe once every week I will get a half hour period in which I receive signal, I also have no signal in most shopping centres, even in outdoor areas, or at friends houses, restaurants, or even at home, usually my reception signal is best at home, but still that is only 50% of the time! I will always receive an sms stating that I had a missed call or calls when my phone has been on, and never rang, I try to make calls and most of them fail due to signal loss, I also have to try send my sms's a few times standing on chairs or stepping outside walking like a crazy person up and down, to catch signal, as trying to call is almost impossible! I have been battling this for 10 months now, trying everything from trying to catch signal on roaming from other networks to checking my phone to see if that was the problem! but the cell c bad (or rather non existent) signal prevails! I am now stuck in this 2 year contract paying for something I can t use 90% of the time!
