I recently took out a Cell C contract only to find I had no signal at my office where I use my phone 90% of the time. I contacted the branch where I took the contract out and they said I had 7 days to cancel the contract provided I returned the handsets with the original packaging. They would then assess the phone and if all was in order, my contract would be cancelled. This was done; the phone is in order but now the cancellations team says they need to do a test on the signal at my office. This has been going on for 2 weeks - no resolution. Every time I speak to someone at Cell C I get a different story. IN addition to the poor signal here, calls keep dropping in areas where I do have signal. Where there is no signal, Cell C switches to Vodacom but then too, the calls drop - this isn't just my experience; Alan Knott Craig said in the press in the last month that Cell C believed Vodacom was doing this purposely. I believe I should be entitled to cancel this contract as Cell C cannot deliver on the services I signed up for and now are stalling with the cancellation.
