Vodacom
Sim

I lost my phone on Wednesday night, and did not call to block sim as forgot that I had Vodacom sim in another phone I was using. Regardless, I called my number numerous times and it was off.

I also have a CAP on account, so thought that my sim will be protected in that it won't exceed cap amount. C
I received call from Modise, who I explained what happened and was told that because I did not call in to block im liable.

I further mentioned and explained that somehow service providers are not doing all in their capacity to ensure our safety. They normally send e-mails of accounts why dont they alert us with mails as well, because how can one respond if phone or sim is? but one could have acess to emails on computer.
Further, there should be some cut off process for capped accounts that it blocks, how is that it is unlimited for but gets cut for owners when they lock it. if they able to measure high volume usage and when it is exceeding why can't they cut it! R450 cap now have over 10k bill.

People need to know about this, I am in media industry and will definately post that CAPS, are not there to protect one and consumers should rather use prepaid!!!
