VODACOM DEBITING EXCESSIVE AMOUNT

I have a Vodacom contract for Cell Phone and Internet. The combined bill is always in the region of about R450 for the two accounts together. R220 for the cell phone contract and R230 for the internet contract. I have put a R50.00 block/limit on both contracts as these services is being used by my daughter and I don't want her to exceed these amounts. To my surprise I was debited by Vodacom with R1248.70 this month. When I queried this with Nathan at Vodacom this morning, he advised the block is only there to guide us and advise us when we reach the R50.00 but it will not stop usage or block us if we go over. If this is the case, then howcome we were blocked before? What is the purpose then of having a limit on your account? Who can afford to just pay R800 more in one month for an account you did not budget for. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHY WAS THE ACCOUNT NOT BLOCKED AND HOW COME THEY ALLOWED THE ACCOUNT TO GO UP AS HIGH AS IT DID?
