No port in three weeks

I was trying to port from MTN prepaid to Vodacom prepaid

11 July: They made port request in shop, said I had to wait for response (never received)
16 July: Port request in shop (different person), said I had to wait for response (never received)
20 July: Port request in shop (different person), got approved immediately, I didn't have RICA stuff with me
21 July (next day): Visited shop with RICA documents. Attempted to RICA new sim card, two staff members tried with and multiple sim cards but couldn't do it, said they'd find out what was wrong and call during the week (never called)
27-29 July: Went back to attempt RICA. Between 3 staff members they eventually got me RICAd, I bought SIM card. Got SMS on 29th that confirmed RICA.
4 August: Still with MTN, called shop around 14:50 explaining that Hello Peter was my next step. Person said he would find out what's wrong and call back in 10 minutes (didn't call). Called again around 15:20 (different person), was told that I'd have to come in again and redo process or just go ahead and post on Hello Peter.

I estimate they wasted about R1000 worth of my time, petrol, parking money, bought SIM, telephone, etc. Where to from here?
