No service/ Incompetent Staff

I went to MTN shop in Irene Village Centurion on the 4th April 2013 @18:00 . To port my number from Cell C to MTN its a pre-paid number. I bought the sim card and it was RICA'd and registered. I was told not to switch it on for the next 24 hrs which I did. So I switched it on the 5th April @23:00 and to find that the number its still with Cell C it was not ported. On the 6th of April I went to another MTN shop in Benoni Lakeside Mall and I was helped by the lady called Yolandi she said the number is not on MTN network and I asked her to help me port it she said she can't as they don't have the simcard for porting. And she can't tell me when to come back as she doesn't know when will the shop have the simcard in stock.

So basically if anyone can help, all I needed is to port to MTN. Or maybe I should consider other networks???
