Refuse to do a sim swop

I lost my phone with my sim card. I used the number mainly for banking, buying data bundles and to receive orders on my business. Its important that I retain the number. I did not use the number to make calls so I could not remember any of the calls that I last made on the phone when it got lost.

I called the call centre to do a sim swop and I was told that because I don't know the answers to the questions I was asked then they cant assist me because they don't have proof that its my number. What's the point of RICA if a cell number can't be linked to an individual through ID no and adress.
