Cancellation not done after payment

I made a payment in April 2012 for cancellation of my old contract and started a new contract on a new number. I found out today I have been paying still for the old contract with my new one. I cant find the deposit slip as I bank with another bank but I have a confirmation email from vodacom stating my service request no. EC-Z91P-1D3QH has been closed on the 25/04/2012. I know I made a payment and the very next day received the confirmation. As the quote expires in 7 days from the date of the client receiving it. I was told I wont be helped until I give proof of the payment! The payment was over a year ago. R1435.68. Plus being debited still every month! Very upset and distraught with total lack of service. Don't ever want to do business with Vodacom ever again. I even told the guy my laptop crashed that had previous information on. I work in a remote area and banks close before I leave work.
