I took out a contract on my husbands name at Vodacom. About 3 - 4 months after that my Blackberry fell. The camera is not working any more and it is not able to read the memory card. I handed my phone in at the Mokopane branch which then send it to Polokwane.

They send a first quote of R 455.00 to repair which I gave the go-ahead for. Then a day after that they gave me a extra quote! This time around it was a extra R 1 800.00 to repair something on the motherboard. According to them it is not that a huge problem the phone will be able to work without repairing it BUT if I only choose the quote of R 455.00 to repair the camera and memory card my guarantee on the phone will expire! So in actually fact they want to force me to pay R 2 255.00 to repair a phone that is only R 1 800.00 worth!!! How does that make sense??

I decided that they should send me the phone as is. Only to discover that all my contacts, pictures and data which was on the phone are completely wiped out!!! Could they not have informed me that is might happen so that I could have made back ups!!!

There was no paperwork when we took out the contract so I don't know if I have insurance on it.!!
