On the 25/11/2013 i handed in my phone to vodacom with the complaint that it was not reading my sim card. A week later i recieved an sms quotation of R6800. My blackberry Q10 is not even worth that amount anymore. It was sent in just for a sim reader and i get an explanation that the motherboard is damaged and needs to be replaced. This does not make any sense to me as the phone works fine without a sim card.
I would have been more than willing to pay a decent amount to have my phone repaired but for that price it would be ridiculous to even contemplate repairing it.
This seems to be a recurring case with vodacom, I have more than one contract and they have no problem taking my money but as soon as i have an issue i receive every excuse under the sun to put the blame on me.
I cannot continue to pay for a contract when i am in possession of a phone that i cannot use i am considering cancelling my contracts with vodacom after such terrible service.
