My xperia z which is suppost to be water resistant IP 55/57 certificate has been with Vodacom repair for 3 months due to water damage.the phone was only 7 days old when i submerged the phone in the sink and water got in.the first think u say ports where not closed.but on closer inspection i noticed that back glass on the top left had lifted.and presumed water had entered there.i opened all flaps and shock phone out and a substantial amount of water came out.i did not realize cover had lifted prior to submersing phone.i did test water resistantance under running water before i submerged it.i believe it is a manufacture defect i have done research i see i am not a isolated case. IF THIS MATTER IS NOT SOLVED I WILL BE GOING TO CONSUMER PROTECTION ACT.
