Vodacom
1 year on and still no luck

I used to have a contract with Vodacom. When I was getting divorced I asked for the contracts to be stopped. I explained there was no way a now single and unemployed person could maintain 4 cell contracts. My ex had run up a huge bill which I paid off as the contracts were in my name and I therefore had no choice. All 4 were stopped, 3 had been used for my ex's business.

I got invoices with the amount still outstanding each month. Until I got a statement with a R0.00 balance, statement dated 03/05/2012. I received a call recently from lawyers saying I was now blacklisted and that I must pay for the contracts! As they were stopped what should I pay for? There was no service provided, the numbers that were linked with our contract were given to other people. I also have the R0.00 statement. I tried getting them to email the details but have still not had said email.

According to the customer protection act I owe nothing on these contracts, and as mentioned the service was not provided. They have now messed up my credit record which is otherwise spotless! The phone's aren't answered when you call 0821946. I've tried emailing Vodacom collections back but it bounces.
