I reported my cellphone being the end time around and called MTN to report it missing and wanting to do a Sim swap. They refused to do a Sim swap for me and claimed that they can't see my details on the system. I don't understand why they can't see my details on the system because my cellphone number is Rica'd. Isn't why we Rica our numbers so that the providers can have our details. Right now the person who my phone is busy using my number illegally and sending WhatsApp messages with my number. They will be able to do activities with my number and put me at risk because MTN failed to do a Sim swap for me. I've applied for jobs using that number and I might loose the opportunities because of that. I'm really frustrated because that number is important to me and I've referenced it in many of my important things. MTN is frustrating me and seeing the person using my number and I can't stop it is more frustrating. Can the provider please do a simple prepaid Sim swap for me over the phone as they allege on TV that its a simple transaction. Instead of the asking me for an affidavit and wasting my time. Why on earth do we Rica numbers. I feel helpless. Please help.
