I was upgraded to a new phone on the wrong package, the "assistant" at the upgrades call centre thereafter told me "I should have asked" when I queried how my new Q10 phone would work effectively when I was on a package with no data and would no longer have a BES facility. She could not answer any of my questions and infact since this call I have had Vodacom call centre staff ask me to explain BES/BIS to them as they dont know what it is! LAUGHABLE! A lovely guy in the tech department eventually put me onto a suitable package with data and my migration is effective from July. Now I sit on hold with accounts because they wont do a sim swap to my new micro sim because my account is "in arrears" I PAY BY DEBIT ORDER VODACOM!!! REALLY?!!! Any arrears amounts are due to your incorrect deductions and infact the amount in question is R 62. I spend R 1000's with Vodacom every month. What a joke! Clearly it pays to tell the Manager that you are writing a letter to hello peter because they now just did the sim swap regardless. All this hassle and upset for nothing. I am with you for the next two years, lucky you, I am, however, now very unimpressed and will NEVER recommend Vodacom!
