Because I have a Prepaid Telkom line, I get regular sms's for promotions, special offers, junkmail. etc. When I phoned their Toll Free number, I was told that I can only expect these to stop if I send a response saying STOP to each department!! I informed the customer services lady that I am not prepared to spend R1.50 replying to every spam sms I receive. She informed me that I have no option and that they are permitted, without my permission, to send me promotional adverts - she added, they are not permitted to sell my number to another company for advertising purposes. I WOULD LIKE TELKOM TO STOP SENDING ME JUNKMAIL PLEASE!!
