MISLEADING INFORMATION

I went online to Vodacom to get a cellphone contract. A person phone me back and took down my details and said that she is going to do a credit check and then phone me back. She phoned back, saying "congratulations" your contract has been approved. I said to her I want a package where a can do top-up and that I definately wants to keep my number which I have been using for the passed 9 years. She said that will and can be done. I got my phone on Monday, 19 June 2013, very happy and then the nightmare started. When I phoned to activate the number, I was told that because I want my old number, this will take 24 hours. I said it is fine. On Tuesday, it was still not activate. I started phoning Vodacom, no one could assist. Wednesday, and I was told that I cannot keep my old number, I must either accept a new number or cancel the contract. A dealer in Klerksdorp, said that he cannot understand that, because he continuously do the same contracts.
