I want my contract cancelled & the number converted to prepaid.
The number in question is 0842111021.
I have tried to cancel this contract since May, before the start of June.
I have called on more than 3 occasions.
Every time the call is answered quickly but the agent then transfers me to "the department that handles cancellations".
What I did notice was that the 2nd last consultant mentioned transferring me to the "retentions" department - not cancellations department.
So instead of telling me how to cancel it seems I was being transferred to be "retained".
Every time I am left holding on for 10-15 minutes. I could never hold longer than 15 minutes as I have a job to do.
It was only yesterday, 11 Jun, that I was told that to cancel I have to send a email stating I want to cancel.
This time I was not transferred.
I called today to verify they got the email & they say they need 30 days notice - so I'm guessing that means I will be billed another month at least.
It seems suspicious that I was put on hold last month but quickly given clear info in the new billing period.
Searched for "cancel contract" on the cellc website or faq & I couldn't find anything
