Vodacom
Phone not repaired

I booked my phone in with Greenacres walk in centre for repairs on 25 May 2013. The brand new Samsung Galaxy S4 which I only had for 3 weeks was constantly losing signal. Vodacom informed me that they would not be able to repair the phone and would have to send it to Samsung in Johannesburg. 1 week and 3 days later I received the phone back. The repair report had no details of what was repaired but the technician said that a part was replaced and new firmware was installed. And apparently the phone has to stay in GSM mode only to prevent it from attempting to connect to LTE service, which apparently is one of the reasons the phone is losing signal. This explanation is a load of!

The phone still has the exact same problem, Vodacom repairs can't give me any details regarding what exactly was repaired and now wants to send the phone away again for repairs! Do the job correct the first time or replace the handset, it's obviously faulty.

I've been without a phone now for 11 days, now I have to be without a phone for another 10 days. And all this time I'm still paying for my handset charge.

I'm done with Vodacom and their service.
