Last month i decided to move to Cell C, after being on a month to month from Feb 2013 when my Vodacom contract was due for upgrade. My reason to move was simple - all of Vodacoms new plans were designed to rip the consumer off and gave no value, where as Cell C had great deals at a great monthly rate.
I ported my number around the 6 May 2013 and phoned Vodacom Cancelations number on the 8 May 2013 to confirm that my contract was cancelled, I was assured that my account would be cancelled and that i would not be debited another month, the last payment being the beginning of May. A payment came off my account on the 3 June 2013 which I was told would not happen...
When querying this with the Vodacom accounts department, i was told that this in fact was my last payment, for the month of May, of which I had 5days of service before my account was cancelled.
Vodacom, why was I told otherwise by the Cancellations department and why was I not billed pro-rata for what i had used before i cancelled my account?
Between your real rubbish new deals and billing clients for an entire month of service, that I did not receive, you are seriously ripping consumers off!!
Good riddance!!!
