Contract Upgrade

Hi

I took out two contracts with Vodacom two years back. Both the contracts are due this year. I sent an email to Vodacom this year telling them that I do not want to upgrade and would like to cancel the contract.

Some time later on the 16 May 2013, I was working from home and sitting with my wife when she shows me an sms that I have upgraded to another package, and I called Vodacom to inform them that I did not take out a contract with them. I spoke to a lady by the name of Gugu Masina, who contacted the branch that took out the contract and assured me that an investigation will be done, the branch that issued the contract in Rustenburg contacted me to confirm that the contract that had been taken out was. Gugu phoned me back on my cellphone to confirm that there will be an investigation. I was happy that the issue would be resolved, all of a sudden some time later I get an email from the box that I'd sent a cancellation to - informing me that they will not cancel the contract because I had upgraded, and said that if I had upgraded I must go to police station for the mess they created. This is their mess, they must solve it. They will not get a cent until they do.
