On March 1st I went to the Mtn Observatory store to upgrade my contract. Jackie 'assisted' me. I upgraded to the Samsung S3, and am paying for R200 of airtime, 150 MB of data and the phone. I was given the relevant documents to sign and I was told that I would be getting R200 of airtime along with my data bundle. Firstly, my data bundle was not loaded until 5 days after my contract was upgraded. Today marks the start of the new billing cycle so I tried checking my balance and my airtime and data bundle was not yet loaded. I called into the call centre to register the discrepancy and was told to dial a different number to check my balance, I was told that my data bundle was not loaded onto the system despite it being a part of my package. and that airtime was subject to VAT and I will be receiving 14% less. In the two years that I had my previous contract I always got R200 airtime. None of my contract benefits have been loaded at all and I am continuously finding out new information about how I am not receiving what I was told I am paying for. The package was not explained to me at the store and the assistant was assisting a friend with a personal matter. Violation of rights much?
