In January 2012, I signed up for a Cell C deal with Cell C Game City, that involved a Huawei Tablet at R99, which was to include 100MB data and 100 minutes on Casual Chat 100. The data was never loaded and instead I periodically incurred bills on usage charged at out of bundle rates each time I touched the tablet and upon following up in early December with Cell C it became apparent the data was never loaded, I was asked to drive to the dealer to have them rectify this and send a fax copy of the contract to the Call Center, something they did. I was advised someone would contact me, nobody did and CellC duly debited my account for data usage for November in December to my amazement. On following up with the Call Center, I was told that the fax that was sent was not clear so I had to go back to the dealer so they could resend, I duly did and even after speaking to the agents was told they would try and rectify the problem, nothing was done. I have subsequently made several followups including email, all ending with promises to call me that never materialize and the status of the complaint is always " yet to be actioned".
