I was a loyal client of Virgin Mobile (VM) for abt 4 years after cancelling my account in March 2011.
I drew a credit report on TransUnion during Jan 2012. On the report indicated that Virgin Mobile listed me as a bad payer & I did not pay up my account for 150 days. Virgin Mobile call center confirmed that I had NO outstanding balance.
The call center agent agreed on sending a paid up letter, which to date I have not received. I gave up after requesting it at least twice via email.
I applied for home finance in May2013. One financial institution's system rejected it.
I related it to VM and immediately contacted call center on 8 May. This time around (more than a year later) the agent indicates that I owe R 150, and that I've been handed over to attorneys during April 2013.
To date I have not contacted by neither VM nor lawyers to request this amount.
Now I get billed R 40 for the lawyer to RECEIVE 2 calls. (i) 8May: For req amount & banking details, and (ii) 14May: Requesting the same details again.
I paid up the full R 209, even though I am not in agreement with above.
I STILL AWAIT PAID UP LETTER TO CLEAR MY NAME. PUNISHED FOR BEING A LOYAL VM CLIENT & GOOD PAYER.
