Handed over for a cancelled contract

Last year I cancelled my contract with virgin mobile in July 2012, I was sent a cancellation confirmation letter by a representative of virgin saying that all was concluded in good standing, I left it, thinking all was done. I applied for vehicle finance this week for my new car and I saw that there is a default on my credit rating for 199.00 from virgin mobile. I have contact them and to no help from there side have not been able to sort this issue out. If I had to cancel my clients contracts and then list them due to an error with my system. I would be in jail. I will be contacting my lawyer in order to pursue this issue and will send the bill to virgin mobile if they don't correct their mistakes immediately.
