How long does it take?

I am absolutely furious! I have taken out a contract for a tablet. This happened on the 4th of May 2013. I was told 2 to 24 hours, well it only came through on the Tuesday. I was then told that the sim would be activated and registered. Great! I was able to fetch the tablet on the 10th of May 2013. When I switched on and tried to connect, nothing. I phoned 808 at 19:56 on the 10th May 2013. I was told that the sim was not rica'd. I was told that he was sending through a request and it would take 2 to 24 hours. 24 hours later... nothing! I tried to phone 808 and after 25 minutes I put the phone down. Please explain to me why I should not be furious? What are you going to do about it? This should all have been sorted out by the branch where the contract was taken out.
