I'm currently on MTN Anytime 200. Before I signed this contract and a few months into the contract I was able to transfer my R200 airtime to another MTN number, use it to purchase SMS bundles or use it to purchase data bundles. A few months later I kept getting a message saying "you do not have sufficient airtime balance to purchase this bundle. Please load more airtime."
I went into the local MTN to ask why I can't use my R200 airtime to buy data anymore. They just confirmed that I am NOT able to perform this function anymore, and that I would need to purchase the bundle with normal payment. Otherwise they are unable to help me else wise.
I've left it for a good few months. But I would like to lodge a complaint and ask how MTN are able to justify this?
It was a key factor before signing my contract that I was able to use my airtime for data bundles. I'm in my last year of my contract and have reached a point where I am giving up on this service. Surely it's a breach of contract if one party decides to change its offering after a contract was signed?
Is there options for me to terminate the contract as I am not getting what I've signed up for?
