I went to upgrade my phone on Friday afternoon at the Vodacom Cresta branch, I updgraded to the deal cause I wanted a Nokia Lumia 820 and the contract stated that with that contract you get a JBL speaker. The consultant then told me that they do not have stock of the speaker and he was going to check with his manager, he then came and told me that his manager said it was incorrect advertising, I asked him what he meant and he said that the thing is the JBL speaker costs about R5000 so if vodacom gives those they will lose money on the deal, so he told us if we want it we have to buy it as a extra. The thing is one of the key factors that sold me on the getting the phone was the JBL speaker included. I am still at a lose for words cause I still see they advertising the phone with the speaker on contract, so I have this strange feeling I have been taken for a fool, cause if that was such a big mistake it would have been taken down immediately and that is really considered false advertising.
