Debited on a closed account

I previously wrote a complaint here on the 4th of this month as I was struggling to get assistance from the call centre, I was assisted by a lady named Ruth who resolved my issue of cancelling and closing my account and she reassured me that everything was in order. To my surprise my bank account was debited although the contract has been cancelled and closed. I have been trying to get assistance from the retentions department with no luck I'm told the same story everyday "we escalated the issue to our billing department for a refund we haven't got a response yet".
