I purchased an iPhone 5 on contract from the Mtn consultant at the istore at gateway. I then, subsequently I asked for a prepaid number to be transferred to it. It took the whole week for me to get a response. Mtn deactivated the contract I had opened in order for them to transfer the prepaid number to it. The problem now is that the above mentioned consultant said there was a problem and that I would have to do a sim swop for this to be possible. I went to an Mtn store to do the sim swop as instructed but was told that the sim swop won't work as no usd has been logged for the prepaid sim number to be released. I am receiving conflicting information from the istore Mtn consultant and the Mtn store employee with whom I tried to do the sim swop with. I am very unhappy with Quiton's service. What Mtn needs to understand is that I am now in possession of an iPhone 5 for which there is no activated contract. This is not good business for them and I have been highly inconvenienced as I don't have a proper number now on which people can contact me.
