Sim Swop Denied

My phone was 2 weeks ago. I blocked the sim and blacklisted the phone.
I wanted to do the sim swop today in order to carry on with the number as my contract is still valid for a year.
I was told my debit order must reflect before they can do the sim swop. - My Debit order date is the 1st of each month- which is tomorrow.
I can't understand why I must be inconvenienced because of your systems? Surely you should be able to override this and allow the sim swop? Obviously the debit order will still go off tomorrow - I will just be able to use my number - as is I don;t have any airtime or data bundles which means I don't have any social communication.
I'm very disappointed with this situation - It's an unnecessary block - I've never missed a debit order!
