At the beginning of this month my wife was the victim of an attempted bag snatch. The ordeal started to turn violent because she was holding her bag too tightly; but another shopper saw and interrupted. Last night my wife was assaulted by four men in Checkers at Festival Mall. The men simply charged at her from behind kicking her leg so that she fell and then continued to run away. She has sustained serious soft tissue damage from the unexplained assault. When she got out to the "secure" parking area our car had been damaged by an attempted break in. We don't know if there is a link. In all three cases no assistance was offered to my wife except by other shoppers. In both cases we are grateful to the two respective gentlemen who came to the rescue. Although all three incidents (including attempted car break in) were reported to security they showed no interest and not one security member did anything about it or even took an incident report. It appears Festival Mall is a very dangerous shopping experience and we will not be going there again.
