Giving me the run around

In Oct 2012, I was called by Edgars people & told that my account had been used at 2 diff stores. I was told that a block would be put on my account & that I should go to my nearest store to file a dispute; which I promptly did at the Melrose Arch store. The lady at the store said I should expect a call updating me on progress. I didn't receive a call & went back to the store early Nov - no progress. I got my statement and saw that the amounts had been reversed but an additional credit was put through by the Sandton store; the account was R2.5k in credit. I went back to the store to sort this out. The lady helping me kept insisting that I had overpaid. My statements still reflected a huge credit. I went back to the store on 7 March to repeat the same story & explain that they need to reverse the unknown credit. The lady insisted that it was my money & I must keep it. When she phoned head office they said I should go to Sandton to get it reversed. I refused, asking if the problem had been in Dbn would I have been required to go there. I don't see why I have to beg Edgars to do the right thing. I now just want to close the account but can't.
