I drive a 2018 BMW X3 2D. I opened my sunroof, and when I wanted to close it, the sunroof blind would not close. During the brake fluid service, I requested that the technician look into the problem, as it did not react to the initialization of the sunroof control. As I have opened the sunroof no more than 5 times in the past 7 years that I have had the vehicle, I asked the technician to disable the sunroof. They manually closed the sunscreen but did not disable it because it would affect other functions on the dashboard. However, they could not guarantee that it would not happen again. The feedback was that the sunroof motor is faulty!
Feedback from the dealer is that the vehicle's battery is a bit low and requires replacement. Besides the brake fluid service, I was charged R8280.00 to manually close the sunroof blind, which I think is excessive, especially given the feedback that it is still not 100% fixed.
