Edcon experienced a system failure, whereby account holders' details were changed or compromised on their system. This happened on 27th October 2012. Why was I as a customer not informed of this? Why am I receiving account statements with the wrong account holder details? This is so sad as its another case of the South African consumer been taken for a ride. What if serious was committed on my account? Will Edcon erase the purchases on my account? I doubt that!
To top all of this, when you phone the callcentre, you wait for a long period to be helped. Edcon also send you a sms to contact them. Should they not phone you first?
Why are we always at the end of bad service in South Africa? Why??
