POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE- EDGARS FOURWAYS

My husband bought me a phone (nokia lumia 920) as for gift at Edgars, Fourways Mall yesterday.
And I called them this morning as I wanted change it, and they told me that their policy does not allow that, and I check on line that there is not such. Only dnt do REFUNDS.
I spoke to the Department Manager and she explained same thing. What I do not understand is that the phone has not been used and not even activated as they did not put a sim on it, as they say just because it was switch one and checked if it's working. How do you keep something you do not want, and also my husband told the sales lady that it's a gift someone and they said no you can come change it if she does not want it. Now different story when I get there. This phone cost a lot of money and they cannot change it. And the policies they talking about says after 7 days. Sorry to say you tell a client that, please ' We will not change this phone even if it's a gift "
Store Manager told me that if his sales people would read what is written on all terms and conditions it will be WHOLE DAY"
