Faulty vacuum cleane

We bought a vacuum cleaner in September 2013 from Makro Wonderboom. At the end of December the pet hair nozzle was not working anymore and the vacuum cleaner was making funny sounds. We booked it in at Makro on the 31 Dec 2013. They told us they have to assess the damage first before they decide to either replace or repair it and this will take 10 working days. We can not go without a vacuum as we have 2 dogs and a crawling baby in the house. The guy at Customer Service was very arrogant and told us we have to buy a new vacuum cleaner in the meantime and that we are in the wrong because we do not have 2 vacuum cleaners in the first place. Apparently everybody has 2 vacuum cleaners. On 19 Jan 2014 (12 working days later) we enquired about the status of the assessment. Thabiso at Customer Service promised to call me on 20 Jan as he was not able to tell us the status. I haven't received a call yet. We want a working vacuum cleaner ASAP.
