I purchased a defy dishwasher, which was on promotion. the pamphlets specified that the customer will receive a free box of dishwashing tablets. when i completed the purchase, and went to collect my machine, they conveniently "forgot" to give my tablets (valued at R100). when i asked about this matter, i was directed to the manager, who told me that the store is not authorised to give the tablets, and they need special authorisation from the DEFY representatives. (this is a breach of contract, as far as i am concerned) i was then promised that management would get back to me as soon as the make enquiries and clarify the matter. it has been more than 3 weeks, and no contact has been made. i believe that a resonable period of time has been given to game to resolve the matter, and i will shortly be proceeding with a "chargeback " claim from my banker. a resolution in my opinion needs to be for game to acknowlege their lack of customer care and provide me with compensation over and above the missing product.
