In December 2012, I bought a new bike from Sports Basement in Woodmead. On Saturday (19 January) I discovered that the rear derailleur hanger attachment was missing. I phoned Sports Basement asking for the salesman who sold me the bike. He was not in, so I spoke with two other staff members and explained the problem to them. You would have thought I phoned a different country! Both staff members didn't know what I was talking about and their overall tone was plain rude, obnoxious and devoid of any customer service. On Wednesday (23 January). I took the bike to the store for him to see but from the moment I walked in, his glaring eyes and extremely rude attitude actually made me feel guilt for having the audacity to ask for a replacement! He insisted that I leave the bike at the store (for an unknown period of time), was also told that even if they had the in stock, they were too busy for me... 20 seconds to fit a. I left the store and bought the elsewhere. After the nasty experience I had with the unprofessional and rude staff, I will never buy anything else from this shop. Don't make the same mistake as I did, just avoid them.
