Went to an edgars store to settle my account. Was provided with a settlement balance, payment was declined at the store was advised to make an EFT transfer. Payment was made via EFT transfer from fnb as per banking details that was provided by the store on 7th Oct. Proof of payment in my possesion. Started receiving calls saying account is in arrears. Spoke to Judy Naicker on 10th & 11th Oct proof of payment was given to her but received no joy she was rude and arrogant. requested someone senior regarding payment but no response On 14th visited store with proof of payment and bank statement spoke to Nerasha & store manager whom confirmed the problem would be resolved within the next day. Was advised by Nerasha that she sent the correspondence to the head office which she confirmed it was a fault on their side. Everyday I receive endless calls on my landline and cellphone regarding the same query yet this should have been placed on hold. Edcon is such a reputable company but serves this pathethic service. The call centre agents are rude and arrogant, managers of stores are of empty promises. Where has my money gone? Has it been? What happened to good customer service?
