Smart shopper card

The smart shopper card is suppose to help the client - make things more convenient???
Not my experience at all. I converted my points to R, and did some shopping, paid and had some money left on the card.
Next time I popped in quickly to get a few things, I didn't have money on me - no problem, because I have my card. At the till the card didn't want to work - every time it was swiped it said that the balance on the card was R0.
After the person at the till went to check for herself on the computer in front of the store - still nothing. Then the manager told me the system was offline - it was very embarrassing to leave my shopping behind - because I could not pay.
Then the next time, I went to the manager first and she assured me the system was online. Did my shopping, came to the till to pay - same story. The manager phoned the helpline and even they confirmed that there was money on the card. After struggling to get anything right and me standing there very embarrassed. At the end I just left, I could not stand there any more.
Pick 'n Pay can take my smart shopper card and burn it for all I care - I am done!!!
Checkers is a much better option!!!
