Smart Shopper System not so smart

I have had a Smart Shopper system for a while. Compared with other loyalty card systems it is very poor and from my experience is error prone. It requires too much to be done in store. Yet again Pick 'n Pay is not up to scratch: service is in general far from "world class".

At the outset I linked my Smart Shopper account to BA Avios. Turns out you have to go to the in store kiosk every time you wish to convert your points to Avios. When I tried to do this at the in store kiosk at Pick 'n Pay at Constantia Village an error message came up stating that Smart Shopper account is not linked to BA Avios.

When I log in on line I can see clearly see that my Smart Shopper account is in fact linked to BA Avios.

This system need to be upgraded to work properly with full functionality on line.
