I am in a rage and will never set foot in an Edgars store again. I have been a faithful GOOD customer for 32 years - never missed a payment and have an excellent rating. I did my FICA when it was required last year and now just received a letter closing my account AND demanding that the balance be settled by end January 2014!
Tried phoning the call centre- useless -no help whatsoever. I am so outraged I can barely type. When they tried to verify my account they even had the date of birth wrong-then i was asked to wait while the operator disappeared for 12 minutes and never came back- they just ended the call! I will cut up my cards and will never shop at any Edcon related store ever and nor will i deal with ABSA bank who declined to buy my Edgars account!
If this is how Edgars treat their good paying customers I hate to know how they treat bad customers!!!
