I decided to try the pick n pay online service for the first time and what an absolute disappointment!

I booked my delivery time and approximately two hours after the end of the delivery slot, which is an hour, the groceries had still not been delivered. I proceeded to phone pick n pay online, was told that they would contact the delivery company for details and phone me back shortly. Twenty minutes after the end of that call they had still not phoned me back. I proceeded to phone back and was given two explanations:

1. the items had left the pick n pay store late

and then later on in the conversation:

2. the delivery company did not have a driver but were looking for one to make the delivery

So how did the goods leave the store? What is the truth?

The helpline person then said that he would follow up again with the delivery company and get back to me shortly on whether they had indeed found a driver.

Notwithstanding their very smart, consumer friendly talk and assurances that they would phone me back, it is now 30 minutes later and still no word from pick n pay.

Had I not telephoned no one would have shown up yet the money was taken off my account.

No thank you not again
